The phrase "I do" will soon be followed by "Go Blue" inside Michigan Stadium.
The University of Michigan announced Thursday that Michigan Stadium, the home of the Wolverines' football team, will now be available to rent to host weddings and other special events.
The 84-year-old stadium will be ideal for couples who have 109,901 people attending their reception. The third-largest stadium in the world is available for a one-hour ceremony for $6,000, though scheduling your wedding may be difficult on weekends in September, October and November.
But weddings aren't the only events that can be held at the Big House. If your weekly office meetings are getting boring in the conference room, you can suggest to your boss that the press box at Michigan Stadium would be a nice change of scenery. The Big House has several club rooms that will also be made available for rental for meetings and special events.
The university is also offering a photo setting package so fans can get their pictures taken on the field with Michigan props. Cost for one hour of pictures taken at the 50-yard line is $500.
