Mike Lowell Still Keeping Tabs of Former Red Sox Teammates, Admits He Misses Baseball’s Everyday Challenges

Listening to Mike Lowell speak, it's pretty clear that he's at peace and happy with his decision to walk away from baseball.

However, speaking with Tom Caron and Nick Cafardo on Red Sox First Pitch on Friday night, the former Sox infielder admitted that he does sometimes miss the everyday challenges that come with playing baseball daily.

Still, he said he's enjoying his first summer off in 22 years, but he's still keeping tabs of his former Red Sox teammates and former ex-mates across the league. He also said he recently took in a minor-league game that ex-teammate and friend, Mike Redman, was managing in, and Lowell admitted that he's not quite ready for coaching yet.
