So much for the potential reunion between Donte' Stallworth and the Patriots.

In fact, the Patriots never even showed any interest in signing the free agent, according to a source. Stallworth, the wide receiver who spent 2007 in New England, agreed to a contract with the Redskins on Wednesday.

"[The Redskins] showed a lot of interest, and I feel I can get a fair opportunity there," Stallworth told NESN.com.

Stallworth told NESN.com earlier this offseason that he would have liked to reunite with Bill Belichick and the Patriots. However, he said it was important to keep his options open throughout the free agency process.
