Cam Newton, drafted No. 1 overall by the Carolina Panthers in the 2011 NFL Draft, reached a four-year agreement Friday worth over $22 million, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

According to Schefter's report, Newton's deal is worth $56 million less than Sam Bradford's deal with the St. Louis Rams last year. Bradford was the 2010 No. 1 overall pick.

The deal is reportedly fully guaranteed.
