It sounds like the NFL lockout may finally be nearing an end. That's the good news. The bad news, however, is that the Brett Favre rumors may be ready to return as well.

The latest rumor comes from Philadelphia. According to Howard Eskin of 610WIP in Philadelphia (via ProFootballTalk), the Eagles have "some interest" in bringing Favre in to back up Michael Vick.

Of course, much of that is contingent upon the Eagles trading away Kevin Kolb once the lockout is over. However, it seems to be a foregone conclusion that Kolb will be dealt — most likely to Arizona — once the lockout is finally lifted.

While you can't stress enough that it is only a rumor, a move to Philadelphia would reunite the 41-year-old with Andy Reid, who coached Favre during their time in Green Bay.
