Hunter Pence appears to finally be on the move from Houston, and it sounds like he's about to make one of the best teams in baseball even better.
FoxSports.com's Ken Rosenthal tweeted on Friday night that a deal sending the All-Star outfielder to the Phillies was close to being done. In fact, Rosenthal added that the deal was "expected to be completed [Friday night]."
The deal is reportedly going to involve Philadelphia prospects Jonathan Singleton and and Jarred Cossart, as well as a pair of players to be named later.
Pence would fit the Phillies' desire to add a right-handed hitting outfielder. He's been a small bright spot on a bad Astros team, hitting .309 with 11 home runs and 62 RBIs to go along with a .828 OPS this season.
UPDATE: Pence was removed from the Astros' game with the Brewers in the fifth inning.
