A surprise team emerged in the Nnamdi Asomugha sweepstakes, and on Friday, that team turned out to be the Philadelphia Eagles.

FoxSports.com's Jay Glazer broke the news on Twitter on Friday that the Eagles and the All-Pro cornerback have agreed to terms. Minutes later, ESPN's Adam Schefter confirmed the deal via Twitter. Schefter also reported that the deal is a five-year deal worth $60 million, with $25 million being guaranteed.

Asomugha, the consensus pick as the top prize in NFL free agency, was linked to both the Jets and Cowboys, before stunning the football world by reportedly choosing the Eagles.
