Interleague play ended on a good note for the Boston Red Sox. Josh Beckett shined in his Texas homecoming Sunday, dominating the Astros over eight innings at Minute Maid Park, striking out a season-high 11 batters.

The right-hander, selected Sunday to his third All-Star Game, improved to 7-3 this season to complete the three-game sweep in Houston.

Monday's matinee against the Toronto Blue Jays brings Boston back to Fenway against a familiar AL opponent, with a chance to get to 50 wins. The nine-game stretch in NL ballparks is over, meaning David Ortiz can settle back in the lineup on a regular basis.
