Talented youngster Juan Mata has attracted interest from a number of Premier League teams looking to acquire the 23-year-old in a transfer deal, but Valencia president Manuel Llorente said the phenom isn't going anywhere.
Due to Valencia's financial woes, the club could be looking to unload some players this summer in order to put more money in the bank, but Llorente emphatically said Mata is not a player for sale.
"Valencia will not sell to any club that wants to buy Mata," Llorente told Superdeporte in Spain. "The decision is clear and money will not change our position."
Several clubs — including Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham – would benefit with the addition of the Spanish footballer via a transfer deal. Despite the constant speculation, Mata has publicly stated his desire to remain with his current club.
In four seasons with Valencia, Mata has amassed 46 goals. The forward also scored four goals for Spain's national team during 2010 World Cup qualifying and made one appearance in last summer's tournament, playing the final 20 minutes in a group play match against Honduras.
