Zdeno Chara Brings Stanley Cup to Slovakia, Gets Knighted As Part of Emotional and Tiring Celebration

Meet Sir Zdeno Chara. The Bruins captain brought the Stanley Cup to his native country of Slovakia this weekend, setting off a memorable celebration that included the big defenseman getting knighted.

Chara said that there were a lot of thoughts and ideas when it came to deciding how to spend his time with the Cup but that he ultimately chose the best ones. He said that his time with the Cup this weekend was emotional and even a bit tiring, and that he's sad it's already over.

Tuukka Rask was the next Bruin to spend a day with Lord Stanley, as it made its way around Europe. Shawn Thornton is up next. He'll spend Tuesday with the Cup, while Daniel Paille and Rich Peverley will enjoy its presence on Wednesday and Thursday, respectively.
