Adrian Gonzalez Receives Some Unexpected Pitches From Boone Logan During Fifth-Inning Strikeout, Says He Couldn’t Hold Back

Leading 2-0 with Adrian Gonzalez at the plate and the bases loaded in the fifth inning, it looked like the Red Sox were poised to break the game open. Instead, Yankees manager Joe Girardi called upon left-hander Boone Logan, who was able to strike out the hot-hitting Gonzalez on three pitches.

Gonzalez finished 0-for-4 on the night, snapping his season-high 14-game hitting streak. After the game, he discussed his at-bat against Logan, as well as an at-bat he had against the 26-year-old lefty earlier this season.
