FOXBORO, Mass. — The Patriots' absentee list was filled with more marquee names Friday than at any point in the first 10 practices of training camp.

Defensive lineman Albert Haynesworth, linebacker Brandon Spikes, defensive lineman Mike Wright, offensive lineman Ryan Wendell, running back Shane Vereen, running back Kevin Faulk, running back Eric Kettani and offensive lineman Marcus Cannon were not spotted during the 11th session of camp.

It was the Patriots' fifth full-pads practice.

It was the first absence for Spikes and Wright, and there's a good chance that Haynesworth was just given a day of rest. Faulk and Cannon have yet to practice.

Wide receiver Brandon Tate missed his first practice, but he observed from the sideline. He was joined by left tackle Matt Light, cornerback Ras-I Dowling, safety James Sanders, defensive lineman Ron Brace, defensive lineman Myron Pryor, safety Josh Barrett, defensive lineman Brandon Deaderick and offensive lineman Kyle Hix.

The practice spanned more than two and a half hours, and it was the longest and most grueling session of camp.

The Patriots practice again Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
