Boston Bruins Release Preseason Schedule, Full Camp Opens Sept. 16

Bruins fans, you're now one step closer to the 2011-12 season.

Wednesday, the Bruins released the preseason schedule with Sept. 16 marked as the official open of camp. First on-ice practices begin Sept. 17.

And as if five games during the regular season isn't enough, the Bruins will face the Montreal Canadiens twice before the regular season begins.

Here's the list of dates for the B's road to the regular season opener against the Philadelphia Flyers, Oct. 6.

Monday, Sept. 12 -– Boston Bruins Foundation Golf Tournament (The International, Bolton, 11 a.m. ET)

Friday, Sept. 16 –- Full camp opens with physicals and fitness testing.

Wednesday, Sept. 21 — Bruins at Ottawa Senators (Scotia Bank Place, Ottawa, 7:30 p.m. ET)
Friday, Sept. 23 –- Bruins vs. New York Islanders (TD Garden, Boston, 7 p.m. ET)
Sunday, Sept. 25 – Bruins vs. Montreal Canadiens (Hailfax Metro Centre, Halifax, NS, 6 p.m. ET)
Monday, Sept. 26 –- Bruins at Montreal Canadiens (Bell Centre, Montreal, QC, 7:30 p.m. ET)
Thursday, Sept. 29 –- Bruins vs. Ottawa Senators (TD Garden, Boston, 7 p.m. ET)
Saturday, October 1 – Bruins at New York Islanders (Webster Bank Arena, Bridgeport, Conn., 7 p.m. ET)

Tuesday, Oct.  4 –- Media Day

Thursday, Oct. 6 — (Regular Season Opener) – Bruins vs. Philadelphia Flyers (TD Garden, 7 p.m. ET)
