For the first time in his 28-year PGA career, Brad Faxon will compete at the Champions Tour.

Faxon, who has eight PGA Tour victories to his name, will make his Champions Tour debut on Friday at the 3M Championship, which will be held at the TPC Twin Cities in Blaine, Minn.

"This is certainly an exciting time for me as I begin play on the Champions Tour," Faxon said in a press release. "Many of the Champions Tour members are long-time friends. I look forward to the new challenge that awaits me."

Faxon, 50, began his professional career in 1983. On top of his eight PGA Tour victories since 1991, the Rhode Island native has a fifth-place finish at the '95 PGA Championship to his credit.
