FOXBORO, Mass. — Brandon Meriweather's 2011 offseason got off to a horrible start, as his name was irresponsibly thrown around as a shooting suspect.

After an investigation, Meriweather's lawyer, Adam Swickle, told NESN.com it was "very, very clear that Brandon had nothing to do with the shooting" that occurred Feb. 28 during a fight at a house party in Florida.

Meriweather lightly touched on the incident Tuesday and said it's all behind him.

"That has nothing to do with me," Meriweather said. "That's behind. That's so far behind that I'm not even really trying to talk about it anymore."
