Professional athletes use Twitter for many different purposes, ranging from interacting with fans to calling other athletes out, but Toronto’s Brandon Morrow used Twitter to extend a hand and apologize to Casper Wells for beaning the Seattle Mariners’ outfielder.

Morrow tweeted, “Casper, sorry about the pitch that got away tonight. I’m glad it didn’t get you too bad. Enjoy Seattle, it’s a great city.”

It appeared as though the baseball did a little more than just graze Wells’ nose, but the outfielder accepted the apology.

Wells Tweeted back, “no worries man. Just grazed the schnaz a little bit, nothing serious. And Seattle is amazing.”
