America is about to get a real good look at the Stanley Cup champions. The NHL announced its 2011-12 national TV schedule, and the defending champion Bruins are prominently featured across the league's national networks.

The B's are scheduled to play at least 14 nationally televised games on NBC and VERSUS, with the chance to be featured even more.

The Bruins will waste no time being exposed to a national audience, as their season opener will be broadcasted on VERSUS on Oct. 6 when the Philadelphia Flyers are in town. The B's will also open the NBC national slate when their annual day-after-Thanksgiving matinee will be broadcasted on the national network with a puck drop at 1 p.m.

There are also four Bruins games designated as flex games for NBC. That means the network can make those national broadcasts if they choose.

Of the national slate, there are four non-exclusive national games that will be broadcasted on NESN. Of course, all non-national broadcasts will also be broadcasted on NESN.
