It came as a surprise to some Patriot fans when news broke that formidable defensive lineman Ty Warren was released.

So, it's probably not surprising that less than a week after getting cut at the start of training camp, Warren has found a new team. ESPN.com's Adam Schefter tweets that Warren signed a two-year deal with the Denver Broncos worth $10 million, including $2.5 million guaranteed.

Warren was recovering from a hip injury sustained before the start of last season. Warren compiled 20.5 sacks in eight seasons with the Patriots, winning two Super Bowls.
