Jarrod Saltalamacchia had some choice words for Yankees catcher Francisco Cervelli on Tuesday night. The two got up close and personal after Cervelli was hit by John Lackey in the seventh inning, but it was left at just that — words.

After the game, the Red Sox catcher was asked about Cervelli, and Saltalamacchia said that he has "no problem" with Cervelli being excited to win as long as he's respecting the game and not showing anyone up.

Saltalamacchia talked about the emphatic clap that Cervelli delivered after hitting a home run earlier in the game.

"To me, the clap at home plate … he was excited about hitting a home run," Saltalamacchia said. "Second of the year, so good for him."
