John Henry has made it clear that he is willing to invest in Liverpool FC, spending over $100 million since January in player transfers alone.

Now, Henry is making it clear he expects his investment to pay off.

ESPN.com reports that Henry has informed manager Kenny Dalglish that if Liverpool doesn't qualify for the Champions League, then it would be a major disappointment.

"Our main goal is to qualify for the Champions League. If we don't it would be a major disappointment," Henry said to the Dagbladet, a Norwegian newspaper.

Although the Liverpool and Red Sox owner has a top-four finish in mind, he's not exactly shooting for a Premier League title — not yet, at least.

"It's too early for us to start talking about winning the league," Henry said. "In my opinion Manchester United are the ones to beat. They have a good squad, and look really good."

After making a splash in the January transfer window by selling off Fernando Torres and replacing him with Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll, Henry has spent millions revamping the midfield this summer, bringing in Charlie Adam, Jordan Henderson and Stewart Downing on big money deals.
