Jonathan Papelbon Earns NESN Nation’s ‘Closing Time’ Player of Game Award

Shut it down and lock it up, the Red Sox win again.

Jonathan Papelbon notched save No. 27 of the season as the Red Sox defeated the Seattle Mariners 6-4 on Friday night, setting the tone for the team's stop in Seattle and starting things off on the right foot.

Josh Reddick was key with a two-run home run in the sixth put the Red Sox ahead for good, but Papelbon ensuring the Sox win is good enough reason for NESN Nation to award Paps our "Closing Time" player of the game award.

Or may be we won't give him an award. We hear he thrives off of negativity.
