Little League World Series Rules Could Help Red Sox’ Chances Against Rays

Doubleheaders are tough affairs. Players have to grind out 18 whole innings of baseball and deal with any extra innings and rain delays to boot.

With David Ortiz out of the lineup with an illness and Marco Scutaro taking the first game off with some back soreness, NESN Nation's Krister Johnson has been watching the New England region qualifying for the Little League World Series on NESN, and he realized that some of the rules from LIttle League could be pretty useful for the Red Sox during Tuesday's day-night doubleheader.

And if those rules can help slow down Desmond Jennings and other Tampa Bay base stealers, well, then even better.

Check out Krister's ideas in the video and let us know if you can think of any Little League rules that would help the Red Sox in the comments below.
