Liverpool continued to mold its roster on Wednesday as the transfer deadline came and went, but past moves may have been the biggest reason more players were heading out of Anfield than coming in.

One player who will be joining the Reds is a familiar face. Craig Bellamy is on his way back to Anfield after signing back on with LFC.

Bellamy is back after leaving following the 2007 season — a season in which he scored seven goals in 23 Premier League matches. The striker hasn't seen Premier League action since he scored 10 goals in 26 matches with Manchester City during the 2009-10 campaign.

While Bellamy is heading back to Anfield, Raul Meireles is on his way out.

The Portuguese midfielder was linked in connection with a move to Chelsea recently, and he submitted a transfer request on Wednesday. Not long after, it was reported that he was indeed on his way to Stamford Bridge, as the two sides came together on a transfer fee. The move no doubt brought back memories of Fernando Torres' move to Chelsea in January at the late window.

David Ngog and Christian Poulsen are also on the move. Ngog completed a transfer to Bolton Wanderers, while Poulson is moving on after completing a transfer to the French side Evian Thonon Gaillard.
