If you thought the Jets locker room was filled with drama last year, just imagine what it would have been like if quarterback Mark Sanchez got benched by head coach Rex Ryan.

In a GQ article, Sanchez explained how his anger almost got the better of him last season, when Ryan was considering benching the youngster. After a 45-3 Week 13 loss to the Patriots, Ryan wanted to give backup Mark Brunell some extra snaps in practice. After all, Sanchez was 17 of 33 for 164 yards with three picks in the crushing defeat.

Needless to say, Sanchez didn't appreciate the idea.

Sure enough, on Ryan's orders, Brunell marched into a huddle at practice, only to have Sanchez physically push him away. While things didn't escalate with Brunell at practice, Sanchez did want a piece of his coach.

"I wanted to fight [Rex]," Sanchez says. "I was really mad."
