On Wednesday, the baseball world lost a man who, by all accounts, was a good guy. Former Orioles pitcher Mike Flanagan was found dead outside his Baltimore home, according to reports.

Flanagan was 59.

The 1979 Cy Young award winner has plenty of New England ties. He was born in New Hampshire and also attended the University of Massachusetts. He went on to pitch for the Orioles and remained close to the team in the years following his playing career as both an executive and TV announcer.
