Patriots to Have Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony for Drew Bledsoe, Jon Morris on Sept. 17 The New England Patriots will be hosting an induction ceremony on Saturday, Sept. 17, for 2011 Hall of Fame inductees Drew Bledsoe and Jon Morris, the team announced Wednesday.

The event will be held outside The Hall at Patriot Place and is open to the public. Patriots chairman and CEO Robert Kraft will be in attendance.

Bledsoe was elected into the team's Hall of Fame back in May after narrowly beating out Bill Parcells and Houston Antwine in the fan vote. In nine years with New England, the former No. 1 pick set then-team records in completions (2,544) and yards (29,657), and he led the Pats to a Super Bowl appearance in 1996.

"Obviously this is a tremendous honor, to be elected to the Patriots Hall of Fame," Bledsoe said. "Honestly, [it was] a little more emotional than I thought it would have been. Just to be considered in the company of [fellow nominees] Bill Parcells and Houston Antwine was a great honor in and of itself. And then to be elected to the hall of fame was really a tremendous honor."

Bledsoe made the Hall in his first year of eligibility.

Morris, meanwhile, was selected by a 10-person committee back in March. The former offensive lineman appeared in seven straight All-Star games from 1964-70, and he was the first Patriots player to make the NFL Pro Bowl.
