Relive the Moment: Adam Vinatieri Nails 45-Yard Field Goal to Force Overtime in ‘Snow Bowl’ Against Raiders

August 24, 2011

Mother Nature threatened to leave her mark on the Patriots’ 2002 AFC divisional playoff game against the Raiders. But with snow piling on the ground, Pats kicker Adam Vinatieri nailed a 45-yard field goal with 27 seconds left to force overtime, during which the Pats pulled out a victory.

They then, of course, went on to defeat the St. Louis Rams in the Super Bowl later that postseason.
