After 13 seasons with the New Jersey Devils, Jay Pandolfo spent 2010-11 in the AHL as a member of the Springfield Falcons. But the 36-year-old is still eyeing a return to the NHL, and the Bruins could be on his list of potential destinations, according to multiple reports.
While nothing is definite, Pandolfo is considering a comeback and he may end up in training camp with the Bruins, according to CSNNE.com. The B's are talking to the former Devils forward about that possibility, according to ESPN.com's James Murphy.
Pandolfo played with the Devils from 1996-2010, compiling a 99-124-223 line and helping the team win two Stanley Cups (2000, 2003).
In November, Pandolfo signed a professional tryout contract with Springfield, the AHL affiliate of the Phoenix Coyotes. He went on to play in 12 games, compiling two goals and four assists.
Pandolfo grew up in Burlington, Mass., graduating from Burlington High School in 1992, before moving on to Boston University, where he helped guide the Terriers to a National Championship in 1995. He was drafted 32nd overall by New Jersey in the 1993 NHL draft.
