Report: Human Growth Hormone Testing to Be Part of New NFL Collective Bargaining Agreement

HGH, a notorious acronym for human growth hormone that has essentially become synonymous with another acronym — MLB — is now finally being discussed in regard to the NFL as well.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the new collective bargaining agreement will call for HGH testing to be implemented into the NFL.

"It must be implemented by the first game — first time ever for HGH testing," Schefter tweeted on Thursday.

According to an ESPN.com report, the NFL will use of blood testing in order to detect the illegal use of HGH by players. It will be the first major U.S. professional sports league to use such testing.

The players voted on and officially ratified the new 10-year CBA on Thursday.
