From 2001 to 2008, T.J. Houshmandzadeh and Chad Ochocinco provided the Cincinnati Bengals with one of the most dynamic wide receiver duos in the NFL. Now, the door could be open for the two Oregon State products to reunite in New England.
The Patriots are scheduled to host Houshmandzadeh, who is a free agent, for a workout on Monday, according to the Boston Herald's Ian Rapoport.
Houshmandzadeh spent eight seasons with the Bengals before signing a five-year deal with the Seattle Seahawks in 2009. The veteran wide receiver was released by the Seahawks after just one season and joined the Baltimore Ravens in September of last year.
The 33-year-old, who was a seventh-round pick in 2001, had 30 catches for 398 yards and three touchdowns with Baltimore last season.
His best season came in 2007, during which he racked up an NFL-leading 112 catches for 1143 yards and 12 touchdowns.
