First-Round Pick Nate Solder Agrees to Terms With New England Patriots The Patriots have locked up their top pick from the 2011 NFL draft, according to reports on Thursday afternoon.

Nate Solder agreed to terms with the Patriots on a contract.

Aaron Wilson first reported the news on Twitter, and Bill Belichick confirmed it at his news conference.

Solder, 23, was drafted 17th overall by the Patriots. The 23-year-old is 6-foot-8 and weighs 319 pounds and was a concensus All-American last year at Colorado.
