FOXBORO, Mass. — The Patriots held a light practice Tuesday as they continued to prepare for their first road game of the preseason, and the session ended in hilarious fashion.

Wide receivers Wes Welker and Chad Ochocinco both unsuccessfully attempted to kick field goals, and their teammates erupted in laughter with each misfired boot.

New England’s 19th practice of training camp was conducted in shorts and shells. The Patriots will host a walkthrough early Wednesday before departing for Tampa.

Wide receiver Taylor Price, cornerback Malcolm Williams, running back Eric Kettani, linebacker Christian Cox, linebacker Jeff Tarpinian, linebacker Brandon Spikes, offensive lineman Marcus Cannon, offensive lineman Ryan Wendell, defensive lineman Albert Haynesworth, linebacker Jermaine Cunningham and defensive lineman Mike Wright were all missing.

Wide receiver Julian Edelman, wide receiver Brandon Tate, cornerback Ras-I Dowling, running back Shane Vereen, running back Kevin Faulk, safety James Sanders, safety Josh Barrett, defensive lineman Brandon Deaderick, defensive lineman Shaun Ellis and defensive lineman Ron Brace were all spotted working out to the side.
