Albert Haynesworth Says He’s Not Trying to Prove Anything, But Is Excited to Make Patriots Debut

Albert Haynesworth has been given a second chance by the Patriots. What he does with it, though, is up to him.

Haynesworth spoke with NESN’s Dara McIntosh at Patriots practice on Friday, and Haynesworth said that he’s not feeling the pressure to prove himself to anyone after the disastrous end to his tenure in Washington. All Haynesworth is concerned about at this point is getting on the field and helping to contribute.

Haynesworth expressed a lot of excitement about being able to play with the type of players he’ll get to play with as a Patriot. With that in mind, he can hardly wait for the season to begin down in Miami on Monday night, noting that he’s ready to go “wreak havoc” with his New England teammates.

Be sure to tune in to NESN Daily on Friday night following Red Sox coverage for the entire interview.
