Alex Ovechkin Says He's a 'Family Man,' Will 'Only Marry a Russian' With the addition of players like goaltender Tomas Vokoun, the Washington Capitals have another legitimate shot to fight for the Stanley Cup this season.

Alexander Ovechkin has his mind on the postseason as well as a few other things before the season starts on Oct. 6.

In an awkward interview with Elana Khanian of Sobesednik.ru, Ovechkin was asked briefly about his personal life, including his preference for American or Russian girls, and if he plans on getting married.

"Ours, no options. I think I will only marry a Russian, well, I mean, a girl from Russia. Russians are sincere, understanding and cook well," said Ovechkin.

"Of course, I will get married. But not as soon as one would like it. Or I wouldn't like it soon," he laughed. "I am a family man. I do not want to be considered a womanizer or a ladies' man. I do not want to be attributed to romances that I never had."
