The tournament began with 64 moments from Boston sports lore, and the field was cut in half each week. In the semifinals, Orr’s goal beat Dave Roberts‘ steal of second, while the ’04 Sox’ victory edged out the Bruins’ 2011 Stanley Cup win.
Orr was the winner in last year’s tournament to determine Boston’s Biggest Sports Legend, when he beat out Bill Russell by an overwhelming margin. Clearly, this city will always love No. 4, Bobby Orr.
