Brandon Jacobs has once again found himself the subject of some interesting headlines in New York. The Giants are 2-1 after an impressive win over the Philadelphia Eagles, but he feels slighted by some less-than-supportive New York fans.
"The people outside that want to say they're fans and don't believe in us, I couldn't care less if they ever believed in us," Jacobs said, according to the New York Daily News. "They don't mean anything to us if they didn't believe in us. They can go back and finish living their miserable lives as they've been living and hoping that they lose and whatever."
He doesn't care if the fans believe in the Giants, because the Giants believe in the Giants.
"In this locker room, guys are ready to play," he said. "And I look in a lot of guys' eyes and see that they're ready to go. … The only thing that matters is the people that's on this football team and in this organization."
Jacobs has been the subject of fan scrutiny in the past, specifically after throwing his helmet into the stands after a poor performance against the Indianapolis Colts last season. It seems he still hasn't completely averted fan and media scrutiny, but it seems he still doesn't care.
