Expectations continued to rise with each Bruins win this past season and when general manager Peter Chiarelli executed a pair of trades that helped land defenseman Tomas Kaberle and forward Chris Kelly, he sent a message to the rest of the NHL. The B's had the Stanley Cup on their minds and they were going to do whatever it took to win it.
Kaberle and Kelly both debuted in the same game on Feb. 18 in Ottawa, as the B's picked up a 4-2 win. Brad Marchand scored two goals in the victory, while Tuukka Rask stopped 32 of the 34 shots he faced.
