Manchester United’s third-string goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak seems to have kicked the club's exit door wide-open with his latest comments, according to the Daily Mail.
Frustrated at the lack of playing time and prospects for future appearances, he was hoping to change clubs during the summer transfer window. Potential suitors were put off by the asking price the English Premier League champions sought for the 29-year-old.
"I am angry and disappointed with the way I am treated. I had a few good offers. The problem was the club who wanted to sell me for £4m."
Kuszczak initially joined Manchester United from West Bromwich Albion on loan in August of 2006. A year later, he was signed for £3.75M ($5.96M) on a permanent basis.
He failed to unseat the recently retired Edwin Van der Saar as the club’s No. 1 goalkeeper, and hoped his chance for regular playing time would come this season. When the club shelled out £18M ($28.4M) for David De Gea, the Polish keeper knew it was time for a move. He fell behind Anders Lindegaard for the spot as De Gea's backup and now wants a speedy exit from the club.
While Manchester United wait for an offer that meets their asking price, Kuszczak looks to test manager Sir Alex Ferguson's patience by agitating for a move and airing his grievances in public.
