Dougie Hamilton, Alexander Khokhlachev Among Bruins Rookies on Hand at First Day of Camp (Photos) The road to the NHL can be a long and winding one throughout North America and other parts of the world. For a handful of rookies and prospects in the Bruins organization, they reached the latest stop on that road on Friday.

Twenty-two B's prospects gathered at Ristuccia Arena in Wilmington, Mass., to open camp. While the big boys won't be in for another week or so, the young guns get some time to show what they can do and either try to win a job on the roster, or at least give the powers that be an up-close-and-personal look at what they've been able to improve upon since they were last seen.

As always, it should be a battle as players scratch and claw for any sort of advantage when it comes to filling out the rosters.
