In short, the Red Sox are working with some pretty good depth right now.
Hall of Famer Peter Gammons sat down with Red Sox general manager Theo Epstein on Thursday to talk about a variety of things, including the acquisition of Conor Jackson and the call-up of Felix Doubront.
Epstein said he and his staff like the way that Jackson is able to grind out at-bats and make pitchers work, a staple of the Boston offense.
