With Notre Dame scouts sitting in the stands, Washington High School wide receiver Gehrig Dieter not only performed well, he broke a national record with 447 receiving yards.

Dieter, from South Bend, Ind., also added three touchdowns in his record-breaking performance, Yahoo Sports reports. Dieter's touchdowns went for 90, 70 and 66 yards, and his last catch of the night came despite triple coverage.

"It was fun," Dieter said. "At the beginning of the game I didn't think I was going to get that many yards, but Coach [Antwon] Jones knows my ability to play, just threw it up a whole bunch of times. I came up with the national record.

Multiple colleges, including Auburn, Oregon, Iowa and Purdue are courting Dieter. Dieter has 30 catches for 1,136 yards this season.
