Josh Reddick Bats Fifth As Red Sox Try to Get Back on Track Against Rookie Jeremy Hellickson, Tampa Bay Rays

Josh Reddick starts in right field and bats fifth Saturday for the Red Sox against the Tampa Bay Rays at Tropicana Field.

Reddick, a .299 hitter against right-handed pitchers this season, will protect designated hitter David Ortiz in the batting order against Rays right-hander Jeremy Hellickson. The 24-year-old righty is a murder on right-handed batters, holding them to a .195 average, and is only a little more forgiving against lefties (.232).

Jed Lowrie fills in at third base again for Kevin Youkilis, who is still day-to-day with soreness in his hip. Marco Scutaro bats eighth and plays shortstop. Jarrod Saltalamachia bats ninth and catches.
