Mark Cuban Says Paying Taxes Is 'Most Patriotic Thing You Can Do' Mark Cuban has an insane amount of money. He has more money than anyone could ever do anything with. He's set for his life, his kids' lives, his kids' kids' lives and so on and so on. That said, he pays a whole boatload in taxes.

And unlike many bajillionaires, he's cool with that.

The Dallas Mavericks owner fired off his latest blog post on Monday, and in it, Cuban praised the value of paying taxes, calling it "the most patriotic thing you can do."

Cuban's advice to those who read his blog is a pretty simple one — "Bust your ass and get rich."

Well, if only it were that simple. Anyway, Cuban continued on and on praising the value of work ethic, getting rich and ultimately, paying taxes.

"Make a boatload of money. Pay your taxes. Lots of taxes. Hire people. Train people. Pay people. Spend money on rent, equipment, services. Pay more taxes.

"When you make a [expletive] of money. Do something positive with it. If you are smart enough to make it, you will be smart enough to know where to put it to work."

Cuban goes on to say that while the government doesn't always make the best use of the money that comes from the taxes, the Dallas owner says that in the end, taxes help the greater good of the country.

He says that it's important to have "a recognition that in paying your taxes you are helping to support millions of Americans that are not as fortunate as you."

Cuban, who is worth $2.5 billion, finished his blog post with one final call to action.

"So I will repeat my point. Get out there and make a boatload of money. Enjoy the [expletive] out your money. Pay your taxes.

"It’s the most Patriotic thing you can do."
