Maryland Debuts New Uniforms Made by Under Armour Featuring Crazy Homage to State Flag on Helmets (Photos) The University of Maryland football team is entering a new era in its program. No, not the beginning of the Randy Edsall regime (sorry, UConn fans), but rather the ushering in of a new era in Terrapin duds.

Maryland opened its 2011 schedule on Monday night by hosting the University of Miami in an ACC clash at Byrd Stadium in College Park.

The wild new Under Armour get-ups that the Terps broke out on Monday night featured a crazy helmet design that was obviously influenced by the Maryland state flag. The flag is also featured in one of the school’s logos.
