MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — Patriots center Dan Koppen was carted off the field prior to halftime during Monday night's regular-season opener against the Dolphins.
Koppen was spotted walking from the X-ray room to the Patriots' locker room with his left ankle wrapped and walking on crutches.
Koppen, who was celebrating his 32nd birthday Monday, was replaced at center by Dan Connolly.
