Patriots Launch ‘Celebrate Volunteerism’ Initiative to Honor Myra Kraft With Community Service Throughout Season

In an effort to honor the late Myra Kraft and spread values of community service and charitable donation, the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation established a season-long enterprise, "Celebrate Volunteerism."

"Volunteerism is at the heart of giving back and making a difference," said Patriots chairman and CEO Robert Kraft in a release. "My wife made an immeasurable impact through volunteering, and through this campaign I hope others are inspired to do the same."

Each week during the season, the campaign will focus on a certain area of volunteerism. Below is the entire schedule. 

Sept. 18: Education Volunteerism
Sept 25: Mentoring Volunteerism
Oct. 2: Youth Volunteerism
Oct. 9: Service Projects Volunteerism
Oct. 16: Healthy Eating and Nutrition Volunteerism
Oct. 23: Violence Prevention and Bullying Awareness Volunteerism
Oct. 30: Public Service Volunteerism
Nov. 6: Military and Veterans Volunteerism
Nov. 13: Youth Sports Volunteerism
Nov. 20: Hunger Awareness Volunteerism
Nov. 27: Healthcare Volunteerism
Dec. 4:  Exercise and Fitness Volunteerism
Dec. 11: Homelessness Volunteerism
Dec. 18: Holiday Giving Volunteerism
Dec. 25: Senior Advocate Volunteerism
Jan. 1, 2012: New Year's Volunteerism Celebration
