Any tiebreaker between the Red Sox and Tampa Bay Rays would be played at 4:07 p.m. ET on Thursday in Tropicana Field, Major League Baseball announced Tuesday.

The winner of that game would then play at either Detroit or Texas in a 5:07 p.m. game Friday. The other American League Division Series will start later that night in New York at 8:37 p.m.

The Sox and Rays are tied with two games to play.

If the National League needs a tiebreaker to decide its wild card entrant, that play-in game will take place Thursday at 8:07 p.m. in St. Louis. Atlanta leads the Cardinals by one game with two to play.
