It just keeps getting better for Mark Herzlich.

The linebacker has made it past the Giants' roster cuts to land a spot on New York's 53-man roster, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Herzlich, a Boston College alum, was diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer in 2009. After missing the remainder of his 2009 season at B.C., Herzlich was able to return to the field in 2010 and has been deemed cancer free.

After going undrafted, Herzlich signed as free agent with the Giants in July, eventually making his professional debut, which included an interception in a win over the Bears.
