Rob Ninkovich Taking Nothing for Granted After Securing Two-Year Deal With Patriots FOXBORO, Mass. — Linebacker Rob Ninkovich has always reveled in his opportunity with the Patriots. Now, he's got two more years with the team that gave him his greatest chance to succeed.

Ninkovich signed a two-year contract extension to remain in New England. He's not taking it lightly, especially after suffering a season-ending knee injury in Miami and getting cut as the Saints' long snapper in 2009.

"I'm happy to be here, and [for] a few more years, so I'm excited," Ninkovich said.
