Tampa Bay Rays rookie outfielder Desmond Jennings has been impressive during his first year in the bigs, showing why the team felt it could withstand losing an impact player like Carl Crawford during the offseason.

Crawford had a long and successful career with the Rays, but the team elected not to re-sign him last offseason despite him being a fan favorite. One of the main reasons is because the Rays expected Jennings to step up and contribute right away, which he's certainly done.

While Jennings is aware that he's constantly compared to Crawford, he said that he's just trying to do what he can to succeed and not worry about the comparisons.

To hear what else Jennings had to say about the comparisons, as well as the current state of the Rays' locker room and what it's like to play for manager Joe Maddon, check out the video above from Red Sox Gameday Live Presented by UNO.
